Vision
Towards educating Shari’ah academicians, preparing the student to embody the morals and manners of the people of the Qur’an, and provide him/her with a complete foundation comprising of the knowledge and sciences of Shari’ah.
Mission
- Creating students to teach the Quranic sciences in general, and the science of recitations specifically, to attain the values of the Muslim personality, to elevate a high level of self-awareness, and to remain steadfast in the rulings of pure Shari’ah.
- Development of the abilities of the reciters to recite the Quranic text while following the rules of recitation and the regulations of the rules of Tajweed.
- Preparing the students with practical and behavioral skills necessary to communicate with society for the purpose of spreading the Qur’an and the Shari’ah rulings.
Objective
- Depth knowledge in Science of recitations and its sciences.
- Commitment to professional ethics and scientific responsibility that came from the ethics of Qur’an.
- Contributions in activities related to Qur’an and its social education locally and globally.
- Ability to read Quran in ten frequent recitations with Ifrad and Jam’ as well as teach it to others with the leadership in it.
- Ability to Use critical analysis for the collected data to defends suspicions that might be raised against Quran.
- Capability to create new ideas for scientific researches in the science of readings’ Quran, and lifelong learning.
- Contribute in problem solving of society through Quran’s activities and its tolerant instructions.
- Potential for competition in the labour market
Learning Outcomes

- Disseminate knowledge on the sciences of Shari’ah throughout the world.
- Strengthen the spirits of brotherhood and compassion among Muslims around the world.
- Perform as an ambassador for his/her nation at home and abroad based in the Shari’ah field.
- Educate and guide to intensify efforts in training and discharge knowledge on being a role model for others in Islamic Ethics and Akhlaq.
Entry Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree (Honours) with good grades from MEDIU, or any other institutions of higher learning recognized by the university OR any other certificate that is recognized as equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) or other relevant professional qualification and experience that are recognized by the University.
- A relevant General Bachelor’s degree (without Honours) with at least one year working experience, and, if deemed necessary, an applicant may be interviewed and/or required to sit for an entrance test in order to determine determine the applicants eligibility for admission to a specific programme.
- The department of faculty may, with the approval of the University Academic Council (UAC), require the applicant to satisfy additional conditions for admission to a specific programme.
Language
Applicants interested to enroll in programmes where the medium of instruction is in Arabic must pass the MEDIU’s Arabic Placement Test (MAPT) before being admitted to the program.

STRUCTURE A: RESEARCH
The applicant is required to study a subject named Research Methodology, then the applicant can start the research under the supervision of an academic member of the Postgraduate Studies Department.
