  2. Prepare students for advanced research and knowledge at Doctoral level or at any research career.
  3. Produce professionals equipped with advanced skills, techniques and knowledge in the ICT field.
  4. Expand the students’ knowledge with a balance of theory and advanced practical skills.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Utilize scientific research methods to acquire, interpret and extend knowledge in the field of ICT in general and in the chosen topic in particular.
  2. Acquire and make use the knowledge concerning current research issues in an ICT topic to positively contribute to the domain of the selected topic.
  3. Design usable, efficient and effective solutions to an ICT matter of concern based on proper analysis.
  4. Develop and/or use the appropriate skills/tools to analyze the performance and evaluate the usability, efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed solutions.
  5. Communicate and function effectively in a team.
  6. Use references and citation without plagiarism; report and effectively present quantitative and qualitative research findings.
  7. Demonstrate awareness of issues relating to the society and humanity; and act according to the codes of professional ethics and responsibilities.
  8. Demonstrate entrepreneurship and managerial skills, as well as in sights into the enabling nature of the gained key [transferable] skills in other work environments and the range of opportunities within and outside the field.

Entry Requirements

  1. English Language:

    Since the medium of instruction of this program is in English, all applicants must meet the English language requirement before being admitted to the programme. Examples include:

    1. Having English as their mother tongue.
    2. Substantially worked or studied in an English-speaking country (such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom or the United States).
    3. English language proficiency exam with a minimum overall band score of 550 in TOEFL or 5.5 in IELTS.
    4. A minimum overall band score of 4.00 in MEDIU’s English Language Placement Test (MUET).
    5. Any other qualification which is of equivalent level as determined by the Senate of the University.

A: RESEARCH

The applicant is required to study a subject named Research Methodology, then the applicant can start the research under the supervision of an academic member of the Postgraduate Studies Department.

Applicant studies 7 subjects and prepares a thesis using any of the following study workloads available at the faculty:
