Vision
Towards achieving Shari’ah education that will provide the students with the right values of Islamic Ethics and Akhlaq that will furnish them with strong fundamental knowledge of Islamic legal system.
Mission
- To provide students with knowledge of the Islamic legal injunctions in judicial procedure and Islamic political theory, to realize a good Muslim personality and develop the level of conscience in addition to fostering the commitment to divine legal injunctions.
- To develop the faculties of conscience and commitment of students through knowledge of the Islamic legal injunctions pertaining to judicial procedure and Islamic political theory.
- To provide students with practical and behavioral skills that will assist in guiding the political conscience and enlighten the youth about the role and position of Islamic politics in Islam.
Objective
- Provide the students to become the highest level of disciples in widest scope of the Science of Shari’ah.
- Provide the graduates with a strong knowledge of Shari’ah.
- Actualize graduates with the Islamic legal system and abilities socially.
- Develop the skills of study in the field of Jurisprudence and the research and training in various areas of legitimacy.
- Accustom the students and train them in the field of Fatwa so they can have the ability to graduate and work in the field of Fatwa.
Learning Outcomes
- To gain capability in shouldering the responsibility of working in the area of legal judiciaries and mediating between disputing groups.
- To propagate the Islamic political theory in Muslim societies.
- Face and handle contemporary issues in the areas of legal judiciaries, government, and legislation.
- Emulate an ambassador for his/her nation at home and abroad.
- Educate and guide in order to intensify efforts in training and discharge as a role model for others in ethics and Akhlaq.
Entry Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree (Honours) with good grades from MEDIU, or any other institutions of higher learning recognized by the university OR any other certificate that is recognized as equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) or other relevant professional qualification and experience that are recognized by the University.
- A relevant General Bachelor’s degree (without Honours) with at least one year working experience, and, if deemed necessary, an applicant may be interviewed and/or required to sit for an entrance test in order to determine determine the applicants eligibility for admission to a specific programme.
- The department of faculty may, with the approval of the University Academic Council (UAC), require the applicant to satisfy additional conditions for admission to a specific programme.
Arabic Language:
Applicants interested to enroll in programmes where the medium of instruction is in Arabic must pass the MEDIU’s Arabic Placement Test (MAPT) before being admitted to the program.

A: RESEARCH
The applicant is required to study a subject named Research Methodology, then the applicant can start the research under the supervision of an academic member of the Postgraduate Studies Department.
